Chikoo (Sapota) tropical fruit with a rough brownish skin and very sweet brownish pulp. Strong and wind-resistant, it maintains an extensive root system. Within the tree's bark is the white, gummy sap. The sapodilla tree is a slow growing evergreen that can reac heights. They tend to grow best when they are planted in average, moist and well-drained soil, will tolerate sandy soil, loamy soil, clay soil and moist soil.
