The history of Miyazaki mango trails from the late 1980s. It was first introduced in the city of Miyazaki, Japan. In 1985, two farmers began to harvest Miyazaki mango and following the year eight more farmers joined. But dark spots on the mango and not that much great flavour gave them a headache. Later they found out that mangoes naturally fallen from the trees have more flavour and sweetness than the manually harvested mangoes.
