Much like the Chef’s garage sharpener, this too has 2 slots. One is stage 1 slot with a coarse edge made out of carbide blades for sharpening highly blunt knives. The second stage is fine slotted edge made out of ceramic material and is ideal to hone a knife right before usage. The edges can be easily removed and washed with the same press and pull mechanism like the sharpeners. The probable con for this would be the absence of an ergonomic handle and a base. It makes it a tad bit difficult to handle and use for bigger knives.
