The palash, also known as Butea monosperma or "flame of the forest", is a deciduous tree native to India and the Indian subcontinent. Here are some of its characteristics :

Fruit : The palash's fruit is a pod that's 15–20 cm long and 4–5 cm broad.

Size : The palash can grow up to 50 feet tall.

Habitat : The palash can thrive in a variety of habitats, including dry, rocky slopes and moist riverbanks.

Medicinal properties : The palash flower has many medicinal properties, including anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, anthelmintic, antidiabetic, diuretic, analgesic, antitumor, and astringent properties.
