Xanadu (Philodendron xanadu) is often called "Winterbourn," and is cultivated for indoor use. It thrives in brighter conditions compared to most other philodendrons. However, it grows best in direct artificial light or direct sunlight. This species will turn yellow if it is kept too moist.

Water

During the spring growing season, water your indoor Xanadu deeply until water flows from the drainage holes. Allow the soil to dry thoroughly between waterings. If your plant begins to wilt or its leaves become yellow, your plant is either over or under watered. Adjust watering frequency accordingly and your plant will quickly bounce back.

Fertilization

Indoors, xanadu will benefit from a balanced fertilizer designed for tropical houseplants. Apply a liquid fertilizer containing micronutrients such as magnesium and calcium. During the spring growing season, apply the solution monthly, and in the fall and winter, apply every two months.
