Pinda Thailam is a medicated oil described in the classical 'Ashtangahrudaya', in the context of ‘vataraktha’ or diseases arising from the derangement of vata manifesting in the blood. Pinda Thailam is an external application that deeply pacifies the dry heat and burning sensation brought about by Vata-Pitta derangement in the body. Pinda thailam lubricates and revives degenerative joints. It is routinely used in the management of fascitis pain and burning sensation in the soles of the feet. Good remedy for the pain, swelling and burning sensation associated with inflammatory joints. Deeply unctous product that easily overcomes the dryness and brittleness brought about by vata. Strengthens nerve function and restores mobility. Quantity sufficient based on the area affected. Warm the oil in a pre-heated bowl before use. Massage the oil onto the body for at least 15-20 minutes and follow up by sudation or a warm bath for best results.
