Diya with carving of Devi Lakshmi, Hindu Goddness of Wealth & Prosperity. This holy lamp is also known as the Deepam of Devi Kamatchi. The Divine Lamp is dedicated to the Goddess because her statute is engraved on the lamp. It is essential addition to the prayer room in most Indian households. This lamp usually a Kamatchi Amman villakku or Asthalakshmi vilakku. This vilakku is known as "Nilai vilakku". It should be placed on a small tray and kept in the middle facing east (very auspicious). You can keep on the left of your Istha Deivam.
