TANIFUJI RICE Yuji Tanifuji, the developer of Japanese rice "HAENUKI", is engaged in technical support for Japanese rice production in India. He developed the paddy rice "HAENUKI" while working at the Yamagata Agricultural Experiment Station. He has been engaged in research such as the establishment of rice growth prediction and diagnostic techniques using statistical methods. In 1998, when he became the manager of the Yamagata Agricultural Experiment Station, he received an award for the achievement of agricultural technology and also a Doctor of Agriculture at Tohoku University. After serving as secretary general at the Yamagata Agricultural Conference, he has been involved in the production of sake rice seeds and technical support for sake rice producers as a technical advisor at ASK JAPAN.
