*The Soup* (1902)- Symbolist painter Pierre Puvis de Chavannes (1824-98) depicted a famished woman being helped in the street in one of his images from St Genevieve's life. This scene was drawn by Picasso, and it is likely that it inspired his decision to paint a similar scenario. The Soup, on the other hand, is mysteriously unclear. Is the older woman, who is physically weakened by her poverty, offering or receiving the soup from the young child? In any case, Picasso's charitable gesture is centred on the basic need for nutrition. ******** PABLO PICASSO (1881-1973) is universally renowned as one of the most influential and celebrated artists of the twentieth century; in terms of art, and art movements that occurred over this period. Before the age of 50, the Spanish born artist had become the most well-known name in modern art, with the most distinct style and eye for artistic creation. There had been no other artists, prior to Picasso, who had such an impact on the art world, or had a mass following of fans and critics alike, as he did. Throughout the long course of his career, he created more than 20,000 paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics and other items such as costumes and theater sets. His art career can be divided in major breakthroughs & periods like Blue period, Rose Period, Cubism, Surrealism, Neoclassicism & Sculpture. ******** 'DECOR ADVENTURES' Brand Cre
