*Woman with Beach Ball* (1932)- Cubism has the potential to be extremely expressive : the separation and rearranging of components of a person's appearance offered up a whole new spectrum of emotional possibilities for portraiture. Picasso depicted his young mistress, Walter, as a pneumatic toy, a floating zeppelin with a blow-up tube for her head, in this picture.
