The seeds of the ajwain herb are called ajwain (or caram seeds). They are frequently found in Indian food. They taste strongly of bitterness and are coloured from green to brown. Though they resemble cumin seeds in appearance, they taste and smell more like thyme. Rich in fibre, antioxidants, and many vitamins and minerals, carom seeds are exceptionally nutrient-dense.
