The Pyrostegia venusta, also known as the flame vine or orange trumpet vine, is a climbing plant with the following characteristics :  

Appearance : This evergreen or semi-deciduous plant has glossy, dark green, lance-shaped leaves that are up to 4 inches long. It produces showy orange flowers that are 5 to 9 centimeters long and bloom in the winter and spring.

Size : It can grow up to 6 meters tall and 2 meters wide.

Growth : This fast-growing plant climbs with the help of tendrils. It can be used to cover buildings, fences, pergolas, and archways.

Origin : It's native to South America, but it's widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions.

It performs best in full sun, in well-drained, sheltered soil. During the blooming period, it needs a lot of water, but watering should be reduced in the winter. It should be fertilized once every 2-3 weeks during the blooming period, but not in the winter.
