The bhringraj plant, also known as Eclipta alba, is a creeping herb with the following characteristics :  

Height : Bhringraj can grow up to 3 meters tall.

Roots : The roots are cylindrical and gray.

Stems : The stems are solid and circular, and purplish in color. They have fine white hairs.

Leaves : The leaves are lance-shaped, sessile, and arranged in opposite pairs. They are hairy on both sides, and are 2–12.5 cm long and 5–35 mm wide.

Flowers : The flowers are white, solitary, and winged, and are about 6–8 mm in diameter.

Habitat : Bhringraj grows in moist regions of India, China, Nepal, Thailand, and Brazil.

Light : Bhringraj plants need to undergo photosynthesis, but should not be placed in direct .

Diseases : Bhringraj is susceptible to yellowing, leaf blight, and gall formation. These diseases can be controlled by spraying with 0.2% mancozeb.
