Bio Balls : -Material:Polypropylene, Diameter:1"/26mm Ball(with cotton inside).These bacteria can help to convert and remove toxic waste like ammonia and nitrites in your tank. BIO-Balls do not require replacement unless damaged or destroyed.Good to use in both fresh & saltwater tank.Note: Please,do not change these filter media frequently. After six months of use, change half of them and use new ones with the old ones.The new bio media filter should be washed with fresh water before use and then it is better to put them in boiling water for 20 minutes. If after using it in the fish tank it is necessary to wash the filters, wash them with Aquarium water, do not use tap or boiled water.
