Citrus sinensis, commonly known as orange or sweet orange, is a small evergreen tree originally domesticated in subtropical Asia. These plants can reac up to 30' tall. Slender spines may be found at the leaf axils, particularly on new growth. The glossy, aromatic leaves are ovate in shape and can reac up to 4" long.The lemon plant forms an evergreen spreading bush or small tree, 3–6 metres (10–20 feet) high if not pruned. Its young oval leaves have a decidedly reddish tint; later they turn green. In some varieties the young branches of the lemon are angular; some have sharp thorns at the axils of the leaves
