kulfa/purslane, ganga vaheli. Purslane is a clover-like herb that has small, wedge-shaped, dark succulent type green leaves on its reddish, smooth and juicy stems. It is one of the oldest leafy vegetable. The plants aren't picky about soil type, but purslane does tend to grow better in drier soil. If you decide to plant purslane seeds, simply scatter the seeds over the area where you plan on growing the purslane. Don't cover the seeds with soil. They tend to grow best when they are planted in average, moist and well-drained soil, will tolerate sandy soil, loamy soil, clay soil and moist soil. Now open the seed packet on a white sheet of paper as while opening the seeds might fall, which are not visible to naked eyes. After preparing the soil, insert the seeds into the prepared Mixture of soil along with coco peat to half (0.5) inch of depth. While watering, care needs to be taken to sprinkling water through a sprinkler or manually using your hands, do not use pipe or a mug to water for the first week, as the force of water might damage the seed germination process.
