Malabar Spinach (Bachali) plant is widely cultivated for its edible leaves in the tropics. These can be harvested all the year round there are some named varieties. but its foliage does indeed resemble that green leafy vegetable. Malabar Spinach can be grown as an annual as well as perennial in a warmer climate. You can start your Malabar Spinach by seeds, It is an excellent hot weather substitute for spinach. They tend to grow best when they are planted in average, moist and well-drained soil, will tolerate sandy soil, loamy soil, clay soil and moist soil. Now open the seed packet on a white sheet of paper as while opening the seeds might fall, which are not visible to naked eyes. After preparing the soil, insert the seeds into the prepared Mixture of soil along with coco peat to half (0.5) inch of depth. While watering, care needs to be taken to sprinkling water through a sprinkler or manually using your hands, do not use pipe or a mug to water for the first week, as the force of water might damage the seed germination process. Once the seeds grow in to seedlings, say around 3 inches, then you may transplant the seedlings to various pots or desired areas.
