Yak chew bars were born from an ancient recipe for a hard cheese snack, Churpi, consumed by people known to be native to the Himalayan Belt.

Handcrafted in the Himalayas, these bars are made from the purest milk of cows and yaks raised at an altitude of 15000 ft. Yak/Cow Milk, Salt, Lime juice Turmeric and nothing else. But, don't let the simplicity of the ingredients fool you. These nutritious and delicious bars are prepared, through an extensive process, by seasoned Churpi makers that have mastered the art over generations.

The milk is sourced directly from the local villages. It is then boiled. A hint of lime juice and salt is added to coagulate the milk. The coagulated solids are then wrapped and compressed in muslin cloth until most of the moisture has been removed. They are then squeezed by hand to give it this unique shape. They are further sun dried for 35 days and smoked for a distinctive flavour and texture. The final product are high-quality crunchy bits that are packed with nutrition and easy to munch on.
