Description

Neem oil is a vegetable oil obtained from the seed kernels of Neem tree (Azadirachta indica), an evergreen of the tropics and sub-tropics. It is deep yellow in color and has garlic–like odor. It contains active ingredients like azadirachtin, nimbin, picrin, and sialin.

To extract neem oil, the seeds are first broken open and the kernels separated. The kernels are then pressed in bullock-operated wooden presses(cold pressing), a method which helps the oil maintain its nutritional value.

Neem oil contains fatty acids, antioxidants, and antimicrobial compounds, and these can benefit the skin and hair in a range of ways. These compounds help fight skin and scalp infections, promote wound healing, and combat signs of skin aging.
