Net Quantity (N) : 1
The left crank arm is a metal lever, typically made of aluminum, steel, or carbon fiber, that extends from the left side of the bike's bottom bracket. Its primary purpose is to transfer the rider's pedaling force from the left foot into the crankset, helping to propel the bicycle forward.
It usually measures between 165 mm and 175 mm in length, depending on the bike type and rider size. The arm has a pedal thread at one end, where the left pedal screws in (usually with a left-hand thread to prevent loosening), and a spindle interface on the other end, which attaches it to the bottom bracket axle. The connection interface may be square taper, splined (ISIS, Octalink), or a direct mount (like Shimano Hollowtech II or SRAM DUB) depending on the crankset design.
Unlike the right crank arm, the left arm doesn't have chainrings or chainring mounts. However, in some modern cranksets, it might contain a sensor for power meters or cadence tracking.
