How to Planting Lotus Tubers :  

Pot size : -

Use a pot that's the right size and has no holes. The container should be at least 18–36 inches in diameter and 6 inches deep. Black containers are best because they absorb sunlight and warm the plants up faster in the spring.

Soil : -

Lotus can quickly rot in rich soil, so it's best to use clay soil or potting mix made for pond plants.

Water level : -

Place the tuber 2–3 inches below the water level. Taller varieties of lotus can grow in water up to 18 inches deep, while dwarf varieties do best in water 2–12 inches deep.

Growing container : -

Set the container in the pond so that the top of the soil is 2–4 inches under water. In winter, lotuses can be left in the pond as long as the tubers are protected from ice.
