Welcome to Chayan Store. To grow capsicum (bell pepper) from seeds to fruit, begin by selecting high-quality seeds of your desired variety and start them indoors 6-8 weeks before the last expected frost, sowing them ¼ inch deep in seed-starting mix kept warm (25-30°C or 77-86°F) and moist to encourage germination within 7-14 days. Once seedlings have 2-3 true leaves, provide plenty of light (preferably under grow lights or near a sunny window) and transplant them into larger containers if needed. After the danger of frost has passed and nighttime temperatures stay above 15°C (59°F), harden off the seedlings for a week by gradually exposing them to outdoor conditions. Transplant them into well-draining, fertile soil enriched with compost or organic matter in a sunny spot, spacing plants 12-18 inches apart. Water regularly to keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy, and feed every 2-3 weeks with a balanced or slightly phosphorus-rich fertilizer to support flowering and fruiting. Capsicum plants will produce white flowers that turn into green, red, yellow, or orange peppers depending on the variety and maturity; harvest begins about 60-90 days after transplanting when the peppers are firm and reach the desired color and size. Regular picking encourages continued production, and with good care, the plants can bear fruit for several months.
