What You Need :  

* Henna powder (pure, natural is best)

* Lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, or warm water (acidic liquid helps release dye)

* Plastic or glass bowl (not metal)

* Spoon (plastic/wooden preferred)

* Gloves (to avoid staining hands)

* Shower cap or plastic wrap

* Old towel/clothing

* Step-by-Step :  

1. Mix the Henna :  

In a bowl, mix henna powder with warm water or lemon juice until you get a yogurt-like paste.

Cover the bowl and let it sit for 6-12 hours (overnight is best) for dye release.
