Super Napier/Pakchong-1 is Perennial Hybrid Napier Grass obtained by crossing Napier grass and Pearl Millet developed by Department of Livestock, Thailand. It’s Imported Hybrid, “KING OF NAPIER” in Asia.

It is grow very fast & tall up to 12feet, high protein content (16-18%) & dry matter. First harvest planting after 75-80 days & subsequent cuts at intervals of 30-40 days. Green fodder yield up to 200 tons/acre/year depending upon the soil which can be retained on field for up to 8years.

Highly drought tolerance and suitable for Indian climatic conditions (Anywhere in India). It possesses more tillers or branches per plant, more leaves than Napier grass. It exposes 500-550 number of leaves/plant and leaf length is 115-125 cm. It can be cultivated throughout the year under irrigated conditions.

It has been found to increase milk up to 20% than normal Cow & Buffalo and Increase the body weight for Goat and Sheep. Good re-generation capacity & low leaf blade. Note : This is mother only, farmers can develop slips and transplant to more area after 150 days from this materials. Farmer's once got slips at the same time sock in normal water for 1 hours, then move to planting. Seeds are in nature, so slips only good propagated material.
