Dianthus is a must for every home. These small lovelies come in shades of red, orange, pink, white, salmon, etc and are quite long-lasting.
HOW TO GROW
•Dianthus seeds can be easily grown in pots.
•Ideal Temperature - 18°C to 25°C.
•Sowing Time - Mid-September to Early November.
•Take 100%cocopeat for the seedling.
•Place the seeds on the top of the cocopeat spread 1/4 - 1/2 inches layer of the cocopeat it. Gently press to stable the placement of seeds.
•Keep the pot in shade and keep the soil moist throughout the Germination.
•Germination time - 6 to 15 days.
•Transplant only when it is at least 5 inches tall.
•Ten inches pots should have 2 to 3 plants for better growth and flowering.
•For transplantation make a soil mixture of 50%garden soil, 25%vermicompost, and 25% cocopeat.
•After transplantation keep in partial sunlight for 2 to 3 days. Afterward, 5 - 6 hrs of sunlight is required.
•Water only when the topsoil is dry.
•Dianthus takes a minimum of 55 days to reach its full bloom potential.
