Guava (Psidium guajava L.) is a small branched tree or shrub up to 7–10 m tall. The root system is superficial. The guava has white flowers that are 25–30 millimeters in diameter and have four incurved white petals.

Fruit

The guava's fruit is a fleshy, pyriform or ovoid berry that can weigh up to 500 grams. The skin color is yellowish to orange, and the flesh can be white, yellow, pink, or red.

Other characteristics

The guava has a shallow root system and produces low drooping branches from the base. The guava is not frost-resistant.
