1. Seed Treatment :  

o Begin by treating the seeds with either carbendazim (1g/kg) or Dithane M-45 (2.5g/kg). This helps protect the seeds from diseases and ensures healthy germination.

2. Seed Soaking and Sprouting :  

o Soak the paddy seeds in water for 24 hours.

o Incubate the soaked seeds for 24-36 hours to encourage sprouting.

o Sow the sprouted seeds in nursery beds.

3. Nursery Management :  

o Apply nutrients to the nursery beds :  

 2 kg Nitrogen

 1 kg ‘P2O5’ (phosphorus)

 1 kg ‘K2O’ (potassium) per 5 cents of nursery bed area.

4. Main Field Conditions :  

o Prepare the main field by removing weeds and tilling the soil.

o Choose an appropriate planting time based on the growing season (Kharif or rabi).

5. Planting Techniques :  

o Plant the pre-sprouted seeds in the main field.

o Maintain optimal water levels for growth.

o Apply fertilizers as needed during the growth cycle.
