This book comprises six writings, presented in the form of dialogues and translations—four of which are in the format of conversations. Among these, two interviews (from 1978–1977) were conducted in person with Khalilur Rahman Azmi and Shahryar, while two significant dialogues—originally in English (with Milan Kundera) and Hindi (with Nirmal Verma)—have been rendered into Urdu.
