Sourabha Hot Processed Virgin Coconut Oil is derived from coconut milk using a traditional hot process. In the state of Kerala, it's referred to as 'URUKKU VELICHENNA' and is commonly applied to babies' skin. It's a primary ingredient in many ayurvedic hair oils. Nowadays, modern machineries and LPG flames are used to produce this oil. However, due to repeated requests from our coconut oil customers, particularly senior citizens who long for the nostalgic scent and taste of urukku velichenna made by their mothers or grandmothers, we decided to create this oil in the traditional way, using firewood and a large round cooking vessel known as URULI. We meticulously select the finest mature coconuts from our yard and hand-scrape them, avoiding motorized scrapers, extract the milk using a stainless-steel squeezer and man-power. We then boil the coconut milk in the URULI over a firewood flame. The result has been truly remarkable, and our customers are delighted to experience the nostalgic aroma and flavor once more. It takes 43 medium-sized coconuts to produce 2 liters of hot-processed Virgin coconut oil. We don't offer this oil for general sales; instead, we exclusively sell it directly to customers .
