Burnt clay, Terracotta art, Maa Durga and her family under one roof, painted in brown colour. This piece has been made and later on curated by our team from Bishnupur. Bishnupur is famous for its burnt clay ( Terracotta ) temples and is one of the biggest terracotta craft clusters. This piece is available in 5 other colors too. This piece can be used as a decorative item or for ritual purposes.Terracotta Art is the earliest form of plastic art in which the Bengal artists excelled. The art products in terracotta or burnt clay satisfied the artists' creative impulse and met the domestic and ritual needs of an ordinary man. In this particular artifact, our artisans have very skilfully carved in Goddess Durga and Family in an authentic Bengal style known as Ek-Chhala (in Bengali) or in a single umbrella.
