*The Accordionist* (1911)- Pablo Picasso painted The Accordionist in 1911. As indicated by the title, this picture depicts a man playing an accordion.
The painting was created in the analytic cubism style, in which three-dimensional forms were split into a two-dimensional plane. Between 1907 and 1914, Picasso and Georges Braque developed this style. During the early stages of analytic cubism, Picasso experimented with splitting up the subject matter and changing the sensation of depth. He still applied a clear sense to the subject's volume and shape at that time.
